Its Voting Time Again...

As I have been busy working on a revision to my first publication, I have been immersed in the grandeur of our Heavenly Father’s educational plan. This plan is founded in His great love for us—for our families and our children. What better path of learning could there be than to grow in our knowledge of Him and impart His ways to the next generations (Ps 78:5–8)?

At the same time I am painfully aware of the hijacking of public education and media. The hijacking of these realms has been a result of church apathy and a decades-long concerted effort by communist influenced activists to change morality and erode the family structure.^[1]  Some state education systems have gone so far as to promote transgender ideology, socialistic perspectives, and pornography disguised as inclusive gender studies in high schools and grade schools. They do this while side-stepping and eroding parental rights in the education and development of their children. Needless to say, these things are in direct opposition to God’s good intention for family and education.

Unfortunately, today’s Democratic party has embraced the Democratic Socialists of America, whose agenda includes the takeover of school systems, the confusion of gender, anti-Jewish and Christian policies, the erosion of family and parental rights, and more under the guise of “social justice” (Prov 15:15, Isa 5:20)^[2]

As those who hold to Christian values for the family and for the education of our children, I believe we should reject the Democrat party’s current platform. And whether we particularly like the personalities of candidates for federal, state, or local government, a vote for a Republican will help safeguard Judeo-Christian values. Why? Because the Republican platform is currently pro-Christian and pro-family and seeks to roll back many of the harmful practices that have been incorporated into school systems.

For me, this is much more than politics. It is doing my part (along with prayer) to stop the encroaching darkness. God says that when darkness spreads across the land, His light will shine (Isa  58:10, 2 Cor 4:6). Jesus calls us to be salt and light (Matt 5:13–16). My hope is that under Republican controlled federal, state, and local governments we can pursue the harvest God has promised in this generation, to disciple nations, and to restore education to reflect God’s ways.  

So I encourage all of us to register and vote our Christian values as the Lord leads. And remember the local elections, especially city governments and school boards.
